Dirty Truth Behind Making $10,000 per month
It isn't pretty, but it pays a lot of money lol.
Updates:
Life has been taking directions I never expected.
Things are moving way too fast.
And I love it.
I’m back home for a week, wanted to surprise my mom on 1st June.
It was Saturday night, I watched the CL final, PSG thrashed Inter.
Work finished. Had nothing to watch. The only anime I’m watching is season 2 of wind breaker, that only airs once a week.
I usually leave by 5.30 for airport, as the flight back home is early in the morning. And till now, every time I took this flight, I never slept.
This time, I thought I’ll sleep for a couple hours, woke up late and missed the flight to Ajmer.
Had to take a different one to Jaipur, then a cab ride back home. I reached by 1am on Monday.
Since then, every day is just → Wake up, have breakfast, sleep again, chuck a red bull, get work done, nap again, play with my dog Uno, get coffee, work, dinner with family, work until 4am and repeat.
Calls after calls, new deals lined up. Agency growing massively, Journey club moving fast and me not getting any time to work on my own content.
And it’s fine, things growing in other aspects automatically means better stories for my own videos.
Ordered a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 finally, will record a batch of videos here at home before I leave for Bangalore.
That trip is going to be fun.
I cant share too much about what’s going on regarding the agency, my sole focus for June is to at least maintain what I was able to do in May (highest ever month in terms of revenue).
We’ve already grown, and it’s just the first week of June. I’m excited.
However, this is where massive failure can happen too.
If we get complacent, not focus on the best client work, we’ll lose progress again.
Fully focused on the agency. Making sure client projects go well.
Journey club alongside the agency is my main focus.
Creating new modules, organizing our Bangalore internal community dinner, and sorting out our next retreat at the end of this month or early July.
Content after that.
Personally, I felt that I lost the edge in terms of my content for a while. I kept uploading because I didn’t want to disappear.
Was hardly proud of any video I have made recently. Just making sure they have value, and I am consistent.
I have a certain image in mind in terms of the next level with my videos. And it’s significant.
Spending no time learning, so investing in a mentor again. Big amount actually, but nothing in the grand scheme.
Was uncomfortable to invest that much, but fuck it, If I have momentum, better play my cards with guidance moving forward.
I’m taking somewhat of a step back from jiu jitsu. Not like I’ve left the sport.
More like, I can’t do it 6 times a week, have weight training sessions and not lose too much time.
I’m taking fitness coaching again, long term project, to achieve my peak physique and doing jiu jitsu 3 times a week.
Going all in on every aspect kinda season.
Puzzle pieces coming together after 2 years. 2 YEARS.
A big reason behind this progress is me having a higher spiritual connection recently, took off a lot of unnecessary worries I used to have plus making tough decisions became simpler.
I’ll share more aspects to everything on Ig and YouTube. However, newsletter audience, you hear it first always.
Now onto our topic:
Brute force
Most people are waiting for the perfect strategy.
Perfect niche. Perfect offer. Perfect system.
But here’s the truth:
The first $10,000/month is rarely strategic. It’s brute force.
No clarity. No confidence. No perfect framework.
Just raw effort. DMs. Cold emails. Building on weekends. Wearing every hat possible.
I know because I lived it.
And chances are, if you're under that number, this is exactly what you're avoiding.
Recently during the journey club QnA sessions, this is one topic I kept on ranting about.
People asking me about systems where they’re barely clearing 1 lakh a month.
Asking me about the perfect operations, team structure, FRICKING ENERGY MANAGEMENT???
If you’re making less than 2-3 lakh a month, you don’t need any systems.
Frankly speaking, you haven’t earned anything yet.
Not going to explain much, but you coming up with these reasons behind you not making progress is just a waste of time.
Think about it, you build the system, still at ₹50,000 a month.
What did the system do? NOTHING.
You might as well have partied for 3 hours daily, the amount of time you spent on building the system, and the net outcome would have been the same.
Wealth loves automations. That’s true.
However, making 2 lakh is nothing in the grand scheme. Take stupid, messy, unprepared action and you’ll be earning more.
People dumber than you are making more than you can imagine.
Onto the aspects
1. Forget Automation. Embrace Obsession.
Everyone's obsessed with leverage.
Not enough people are obsessed with proof.
You want things to feel clean, aesthetic, automated.
But if you haven't sold the offer, delivered the service, and repeated it manually...
You're automating garbage.
Until you've done the work 1:1, yourself, over and over...
You have no business building systems.
You need obsession. Not optimization.
You want to create content to attract foreign clients with your personal brand?
I’m telling you it’s a waste of time.
I don’t get any clients inbound from my personal brand.
You thinking of quoting in the $5k-$6k range in the beginning without any proof, you’re setting yourself up for failure.
I can write so much on this, examples, but you get the gist.
2. Be Everywhere. Until People Notice.
You think you need a better hook. The perfect outreach script. The perfect lead gen strategy. It won’t do anything at your current stage.
What you really need is more exposure.
You try selling once, no results, and assume your offer sucks.
No.
You just haven't been seen enough.
You don’t need to analyze your DM script because 30 people haven’t replied. Analyze it after you’ve done 300.
There are enough people in the world to make you rich asf, and you’re still stuck on those 2 leads you thought you’ll close but are left on seen by.
Short-form. Long-form. Posts. Comments. Reels. DMs.
Brute force your visibility.
These should be your only non-negotiables.
3. No One Cares About Your Boundaries (Yet)
You want balance. You want peace.
But the game you're playing? It's kind of like a war.
At 0-10K/month, you are proving yourself.
To the market. To your clients. To yourself.
This is not the time for "scaling."
It's the time for brutal pursuit.
You don’t get to have the most streamlined process.
I don’t have a proper lead tracking process still. I don’t analyze my outreach scripts, until I’ve sent it to 100 people.
I don’t have the perfect team structure. I have probably hired more people than needed, but if it keeps the clients happy, fuck it.
I don’t have the most organized day to day life, structured into perfect segments, like every routine you see.
I wake up. Work when I have energy. Rest when needed. Train. And work.
Just get the tasks off of your to-do list.
Do it like a purist, like me, pen and paper only.
Anything that makes execution of tasks difficult, instant no-go.
Take this thinking until you hit $10k months.
Then you earn the right to set boundaries.
4. Sales First. Every Day.
You want to do brand building, strategic planning, and internal ops.
But money only comes when you do money-generating actions.
As Alex Hormozi says, 4 hours daily, you need to be doing stuff that brings in money directly to your business.
And it’s surprising how many people never do it. And you’re one of them probably too.
Ask yourself daily:
Did I start conversations?
Did I follow up?
Did I pitch?
Did I close?
Did I generate leads?
Did I put out our work in any way possible that helps us be visible to our target audience?
10K/mo is not rocket science. Just relentless selling, closing and delivering a great service.
No sales activity = no progress.
It’s that simple.
5. Play to Win. Not to Appear Smart.
You will want to build things that make you look impressive.
Website. Pretty back end. Sophisticated processes. Lead tracking sheets. Perfect CRM. Best outreach scripts. Flawless sales scripts.
But unless they get you to your income goal?
They're distractions.
People who brute force their way to 10K/month ask:
"What gets me closest to new cash flow now?"
And they build only that.
Bro even I don’t have most of these. My website looks basic, back end was last made in early 2024, different management process for every client. I track leads in my notebook. Sales scripts is something I never believed in.
6. This Stage Is Not Forever. But It Is Required.
Once you're above $10K/month, the rules change.
You can delegate. You can buy back time. You can build in public.
But in the beginning, you don’t need systems.
You need willpower. Focus. Relentless execution.
Don’t over-romanticize it.
Brute force is not the goal. But it is the start.
If you're under $10K/month?
Don’t wait for the perfect moment.
Don’t wait for the right brand.
Start putting yourself out there.
Block out distractions.
Take the needed important action, that you know already, that you are afraid of taking.
