I disappeared for 2 months and made the most progress this year & tripled my agency
A new start.
Life Update
Writing this newsletter has always been therapeutic.
This is documentation for me, I often look back at things I have created in the past to see how far I’ve come, and this edition won’t be different.
Before we go into what happened over the last 2 months, I want to share an update regarding curate. For now, I’ll be releasing 2 every month.
From Feb, or rather, Jan end, I’ll try making this weekly so you guys have more insight into what I do on a regular basis.
So, let’s talk. Imagine I’m sitting alongside you and we’re discussing our journeys over the past few months.
Here’s mine.
Since Oct 15, last time when I published curate. All of this has happened:
Agency MRR Tripled:
I let go of a lot of clients, refunded $5000 to one of them, and the MRR went down to like 3-4k (again), and I grew it to $15k+ in 60 days.
Not the most insane achievement on paper. However, this time, I have every single client on a long term basis.
Every single client is highly qualified. And we’re already seeing results.
I added more team members, and now paying more to every core person.
Chopped down my profit, to get better work. And for now, it’s going well.
ECB grew about 3x:
Didn’t sell it too much.
Created carefully researched content to bring in good audience, and sold organically.
The founding batch has about 50 more people than originally planned. And it’s insane.
I’m working on creating new modules inside ECB 1.0 and planning 2.0 as a cohort next year.
Metro Media House IG grew 11k followers:
I rebranded “howsaksham” to “Metro Media House”.
Created a completely new funnel (It’s still not produced fully)
Got 2 new inbound clients from the page.
We’re gaining good traction from our ideal audience.
The CTAs are giving us great leads.
This funnel can be sold as a high ticket product over time.
I plan on making this so complex and effective, no-one is doing it in my space.
I already see people copying my approach, and I’m happy about it.
Whysaksham grew by 15k followers:
This is my baby, this account has made every project possible.
I took a different approach → Went super niche with content.
Researched the market → Identified more awareness levels → Created content specifically for each level → More targeted and good followers.
Recently I saw I went too niche maybe. Adding more content that’s personal and broad.
Of course, I always expect more from myself. However, this time when I reflect on the changes, I’m happy.
One surprising fact, I did not particularly work more or harder than I used to.
The main changes were in the mindset, and approach towards work.
I travelled more, went outside more, spent more time with friends and family, probably didn’t work for about 3 weeks total.
Still I managed to get so much output.
I often get surprised by how much ahead you can get, by focused sprints of work.
In terms of fitness, I trained well, I am the heaviest I have ever been at 67kgs. Yes, I am on the lighter side if I compare myself to you all fatasses.
Like I mentioned the last time, eating 3k calories a day, and spending around 30-40 mins a meal, and about 2-2.5 hours at the gym is not easy haha.
I plan on doing an even more dedicated fitness transformation next year for 3 months. Taking it to the extreme kind of.
I injured my ankle last month, not able to run without extreme pain. I can jog by consciously making the ankle stiff.
It limited my movements in jiu jitsu of course, and due to a family event in January, I didn’t want to risk it by taking part in adcc this time.
Jiu jitsu and fitness is a luxury. I am a thought worker, no matter how much I train, I can’t risk more important stuff. I just tend to take the fitness seriously. Oftentimes time dependent opinion.
In terms of learning, haven’t watched a single course, maybe 1-2 educational YT videos. Listened to audiobooks mainly, that too only while making coffee.
Zero to one, skin in the game, seduction and hard things about hard things are the ones I listened to in this time.
December specially was filled with traveling, probably the most I have in this entire year.
Went to Nerul for a MMA event where 3 fighters from Ptown competed. Then some time chilling at marine drive.
The Delhi-Gwalior trip. From 13th early morning till 17th early morning. Here’s a recap: Pune → Delhi → Gurgaon → Noida → Gurgaon → Delhi → Gwalior → Delhi → Gurgaon → Greater Noida → Delhi → Pune. lol.
Mumbai again on 21st Dec, for the Karan Aujla concert. I didn’t know a single song. But bakchodi with friends is always a good plan.
Now for the next 11 days, I am here, fully focused on these things:
Building a discovery call pipeline for the agency.
Get the client projects in order so when I don’t work for like 10 days, there are no issues.
Film about 30 extra videos for Whysaksham.
Record around 10-12 YouTube videos (want to take this seriously, I already have 3 recorded)
Complete funnel on the MMH IG account.
Launch the new agency website.
Roll out an extra module in ECB, and 1-2 sessions with the community. Create a discord server.
Launch the Journey Club community with Akshat.
Train every single day.
Take a shit tonne of b-rolls.
Have already set my goals for next year. Super ambitious. 2024 was when I made the most progress, and failed the most amount of times.
Next year will be exciting. (Loads of traveling otw)
The new approach. What changed?
I developed this new habit of making myself smile consciously, and speaking loudly to myself, “This is fun”. During hard times.
And the same in fun times.
Result? It made me love the process subconsciously, and I made insane progress.
I didn’t overthink and ruin different avenues of my life.
Like worrying about work while I’m with friends, or thinking about how others will think of me while working.
This was the focus I needed.
The approach never really changed. It’s exactly the same as the last edition of the newsletter.
Long periods of focused work. No distractions. Having dedicated makers and managers days. Batching content. Ideating more than filming. Focusing on sales for the agency. Improving clientele. Focusing on getting results and keeping them happy. Delivering value inside ECB.
You don’t need to make things complicated. You don’t need a grand 12 month plan broken down to every week.
You need a big vision, and clarity on what needs to be done right now and next. Believe in the process and the pathway will be paved for you.
I have been trying to think of everything like this: “Is this potential mental masturbation? For me?”
If the answer is YES, I don’t do it.
Fancy systems, new software, schedule or hacks, nothing.
Takeaways and observations are subjective. It’s all controlled by the biases we have based on our existing experience.
If something works for me, it won’t necessarily have the same results for you. We all need to figure out our own way.
Take how I operate on a day to day basis, be more focused and find your own way.
End Note:
People are inherently in receiving mode. They want everything done for them. That’s why instead of making things work, people jump to hating quickly because some creator suggested an approach and it didn’t work for them.
You are all makers of your own progress. I’m gonna say the most cliché thing,
“Everyone’s journey is different, and it’s a race of one. The world will force you into thinking short term, and take patience out of you.”
Once you actually understand it, deep down, and realize that the process is what makes all of it fun, you’ll see the more progress.
Instead of asking for everything to be spoon-fed to you, go out, take risks, and fail.
The internet offers you everything you need to completely change your financial situation in the next year.
I urge you to stop asking stupid questions, don’t ask someone to teach you every fucking thing. Learn the basics, the essential steps to get to a goal (YouTube, books, or courses), and focus on long term implementation.
The self belief you develop when you make real progress is different.
You need practice. Focused practice. Get your ass beat every day.
Channel your aggression into creative energy. And don’t rest until you physically and mentally can’t push further. That is the feeling you need to chase.
See you.

Here’s how I can help:
Expert Creator Blueprint: ECB 1.0 is underway. ECB 2.0 will release around March-April next year. The founding batch access has closed. However new modules and live sessions will continue for the next 3-4 months for 1.0.
ECB 2.0 will be around 6x more expensive than 1.0. If you join right now, you’ll get the next cohort at a discounted rate.
When it releases there will be no discount, of any case, aside from the case of existing students.
How Varun Mayya automated his content, incredibly powerful video.
