Beware. Thought work is taking over creativity.

The week where I dived head first into AI.

In partnership with

Life Update

This week was great.

Trained everyday, partied last weekend, partied on Tuesday again, and had almost full all nighters for 4 days.

I can’t explain, but this feeling inside me is becoming too strong. I want to keep working. I want to continue putting efforts, head down, and sometimes look ahead to see where I am.

It’s a bit weird, even if things are stagnant, somewhat, I can feel this burst of growth that is about to happen.

Not just hope, I’ve been putting in the work.

Working on the agency, products, journey club, physical training with jiu jitsu.

Learning AI, YouTube, deeper stuff about building agencies, automations, email campaigns, psychology, all of it.

I tend to immerse myself so much, I lose track of time.

And I love it.

Apart from thoughts, it’s 2:10AM, Saturday, 29th March. I’ve got training at 10, for which I have to wake up at around 8:30 at least, so I can have breakfast and train well.

Sunday is going to be occupied with stuff other than work. Monday, I’ve got to prep for the trip. And Tuesday, we fly out to Bali for 2 weeks.

I’m excited. I have some things I won’t disclose yet about the trip and the motive, but you’ll see it soon.

Did some shopping today, got a birkenstock sandal (Promised myself one when I close the VC client, and I did), got some shirts and tshirts. Looking pretty sorted for the trip.

It’s going to be fun. Genuinely.

On the other hand, been learning about chatgpt in depth, perplexity and claude as well and integrating it into my workflow.

Learning from twitter accounts, and Tanjay teaching me randomly throughout the day.

Put real hard effort in training, since we won’t be able to take professor’s class (The black belt coach who teaches us jiu jitsu) for 2 weeks.

Probably the biggest core memory that unlocked, was me doing my first, second and third muscle ups in the gym (uploaded a story about it, and put it in the broadcast channel too).

I don’t typically share stuff I do in the gym, but this was big.

I’m genuinely so happy, you guys don’t know.

This is what I mean when I say, you need to have infinite games in 2-3 areas of your life.

You won’t win all the time in just one aspect, sometimes, when work isn’t going well, your fitness win will give you the momentum to push through.

And the other way around.

I am not at all complaining about where I am at with my agency and other businesses currently, I am grateful. But things are somewhat stagnant, and it’s okay. There’s no downward spiral anywhere so I am happy.

This fitness win just gave me another push to work better.

Not sure how many of you will actually understand this feeling, but if you do, let me know with a reply to this email.

Side note, I’ve listened to “The untethered soul” once and I got instantly hooked to everything said in the book, so going through my second listen currently.

Thought Work: The Ultimate Unfair Advantage

How your thinking abilities will separate you in the AI era

We're at a fascinating inflection point right now.

Just a few years ago, if you wanted to create something - whether it was a graphic, a video, or written content - you needed specialized skills that took years to develop. The barrier to entry was high.

Now? AI tools can generate surprisingly good creative work at the push of a button.

Logo design? There's an AI for that. Content writing? AI can do it. Video editing? AI is getting there fast.

But here's where things get interesting:

The ability to think deeply, strategize, and make complex decisions is becoming exponentially more valuable precisely because creative execution is becoming automated.

This isn't just theory - I'm seeing it in real time with creators/entrepreneurs in my network.

People optimizing their workflows to an extent where one person can handle the work of 4 people.

Take a use case for example, in the case of an agency:

Let’s say that team member makes ₹50,000 per month, give the guy/girl access to paid subs to different ai.

Max total investment in software is ₹10,000-₹15,000.

Now that one person can create workflows, do grammar checks, write content copy, create emails, sales and content strategies, with insane volume overall.

If previously a 30 video batch, with the strategy and execution (everything aside from editing), would take 1 week of ideation, now that could be done in a few hours.

Client films all the content once, and now you have higher margins everywhere.

Over time the model gets trained even more, the accuracy of the output increases and timeline decreases.

Speed will be so accessible everywhere, it’s nuts. Really good tweet I read.

I made this carousel, by giving my photos to ai, turning them into manga designs, and taking 4 reference manga panels to get this output, in just 90 mins (Ai image gen with gpt still has big issues)

Previously if I paid a designer to do it, it would cost 100x, with exponentially high time input.

Me, with a bit of sketching experience, getting this output from gpt is mad.

I know how difficult shading with coloring is, let alone the base sketch itself, and also knowing body anatomy to draw hands and facial expressions.

Sure, midjourney did it way before, the barrier to entry and exclusivity was higher.

The AI Resistance: Why People Fight What They Can't Ignore

Many people fundamentally have a conflicted relationship with AI.

They're reluctant to embrace it, yet they can't ignore its impact. This resistance shows up in a few ways:

1. The Authenticity Concern

"If I use AI, am I really being authentic?" This is probably the most common pushback I hear.

The truth?

Tools don't determine authenticity, your thinking does.

2. The Myth of Quality

"AI-generated content is lower quality." This was true two years ago.

It's increasingly false today. And it won’t stop.

The real quality gap isn't between human-created and AI-created content.

Human vs human, at the highest level lol.

It’s between strategic thought, and who created it.

3. The Fear of Obsolescence

This is the big one that few people openly admit. "If AI can do what I do, what's my value?"

This fear is understandable but misplaced.

Creators and business owners who will be put out of job, will be the ones who only knew how to execute, and not think.

Being mechanical only will only get you so far.

If you have the habit of thinking well, creating ideas and doing all sorts of stuff with it you’re fine.

4. The "AI Can't Understand Emotions" Myth

"AI lacks emotional intelligence so it can't create content that resonates."

The reality? If you think about it,

While AI doesn't experience emotions, it has analyzed more emotional human content than any single person could consume in a lifetime.

Modern AIs can recognize and simulate emotional patterns with surprising effectiveness.

You can get GPT to be your strategic advisor, your personal advisor and mentor, and the insights are insane.

5. The Creativity Conundrum

"AI will kill human creativity."

History has repeatedly shown that new technologies don't eliminate creativity - they transform it.

Photography didn't kill painting; it freed painters to explore impressionism and abstraction.

AI won't kill creativity; it will elevate it to higher levels of conceptual thinking. (used ai for this example lol)

The Three Levels of Thought Work That AI Can't Replace

In my experience building my brand, I've identified three levels of thought work that create massive leverage:

1. “Real” Strategic Thinking

This is the ability to see the big picture and make decisions that align with long-term goals.

It's about understanding current market trends, recognizing opportunities, and positioning yourself effectively.

When I shifted from creating random content to building a personal brand with a clear message and positioning, everything changed.

That wasn't a tactical shift - it was strategic thinking.

You guys probably didn’t see a big enough shift, it did happen.

Just think about one thing, when was the last time I posted with such consistency before, even when I was on the come up?

(Jk, I haven’t yet used any ai in my content scripts, every word is handwritten by me till date)

2. Thinking in systems

This is where you connect different parts of your operation together so they work harmoniously. It's about creating processes that scale.

For example, creating a content strategy that follows a deliberate sequence:

  • Awareness content → Education content → Validation content → Conversion content

This systematic approach ensures every piece of content has a purpose in the larger ecosystem.

AI can help execute each piece, but the system design requires human thought work.

AI won’t tell you how to think creatively, or disclose your next big idea. It can never do it. It’s you.

3. Insight Generation

This is the ability to notice patterns, extract insights, and create new frameworks. It's where real innovation happens.

Remember that content strategy I shared in a previous newsletter about mapping content to your customer's journey?

That came from thousands of hours working with people, recognizing patterns, and developing a framework. No AI could have generated that insight.

Now that I think about it, I could have done it.

Mad part was I arrived at that conclusion without referring anywhere, and got to know that Dan Martell teaches that in his programs lol. (People pay $9k for it btw)

How I'm Personally Adapting to This Shift

Since spending some time into AI, and thinking about this, I have started to ride the wave.

No point resisting something so much, that you get behind. Better use it to create the best case scenario.

I’ve been learning about GPT, Perplexity, Claude and their use cases. Some stuff around prompts.

Keeping up to date with what’s going on in AI, by following influencers like Rpn, Varun Mayya a lot more, and visiting X more often.

And thinking about the use case implementation into my creator business and agency.

Giving team members access by buying it for them too.

Content wise,

I still create like I used to, always, not thinking much about the lighting and the cinematography. But more around documenting my thought processes authentically.

(Read about the dead internet theory, I have to keep myself authentic always haha)

This shift has helped me a lot:

  • My creation process is more fun

  • My stress levels have decreased

  • My impact has increased

What You Should Do About It

If you're building a personal brand or business in 2025, here's how to leverage this insight:

  1. Block time for pure thinking
Set aside 2-3 hours each week for uninterrupted thinking. No phone, no distractions. Just you, a notebook, and complex problems to solve.

  2. Document your thought process
Don't just share your conclusions - share how you arrived at them. This is what separates true experts from AI-generated content.

  3. Create your own frameworks
Look for patterns in your work and develop frameworks that simplify complex ideas. These become your intellectual property that no AI can replicate.

  4. Embrace AI as a thinking partner
Instead of seeing AI as a replacement, view it as an amplifier for your ideas. Use it to explore variations, test assumptions, and extend your thinking.

  5. Develop a learning system for AI tools
Set aside time each week to experiment with new AI capabilities. The tools are evolving rapidly, and staying current is a competitive advantage.

  6. Leverage AI for execution
Use AI tools to handle repetitive creative tasks, but maintain control over the strategy and direction.

  7. Stay physically sharp
As I always emphasize - being an athlete-entrepreneur isn't just about looking good. Physical discipline directly impacts your mental clarity and decision-making abilities.

Final Thoughts

The coming years will create a massive divide:

  • Those who can think deeply and strategically will thrive

  • Those who only focus on execution will struggle

  • Those who resist AI entirely will be left behind

  • Those who thoughtfully integrate AI will gain immense leverage

"The most valuable asset in the 21st century is not the ability to work hard, but the ability to think clearly."
